Punjabis — The moment this word strike in our mind, a good feeling comes our way. The great hospitality, their fun-loving nature. Moreover, How can we forget Makki di roti, Sarso de Saag, and Lassi.

Khao Piyo aur Aish Kara, Mitron! — That's how we can sum up about them in a line.

Punjabi Community

Key learnings to take from the Punjabi Community-

  1. Hard-Working Nature: We all know, how rich Punjabis were before the Partition and suddenly after that, it was riches to rags story. That was the time when India was importing a huge supply of wheat from other countries. It was during the 1960s, they took it in their hands, revolutionized the whole agriculture system, and is known as Green Revolution. A time when India turned from wheat importer to exporter. The community started to regain their old pride and started living a life of king. What went into the journey was Sheer Hard Work and Determination of the Punjabis.
  2. Never Hurt Anyone: This trait largely comes from the teachings of Guru Nanak. It is widely described in Guru Granth Sahib to inculcate this in our personality. We have noticed it in the movie — Gadar Ek Prem Katha, how a Pakistani girl is well treated and respected by a Punjabi. It is this behavior to treat others with respect. Their belief in divine power gives them the strength and courage to withstand any stress in life.
  3. Value Money: They are born business people. They know and understand the value of every penny in creating a successful business. It is passed on to generations, and generations. Eat as much as you can and wear what's required. Save where you can. Live Life King Size and Be Fearless.
  4. Unity: The power and strength of unity are beyond our imagination. This strategy is well respected by the community. If an individual or family is doing good in his/her life, then they hold the hands of others in the community and strive to grow together. It can be widely seen, how the Punjabi community has grown in Canada or Australia. One went ahead to find a good job, others followed building their contact and settling up there.
  5. Customer is King: Their king like attitude reflects in the business. Treating every customer with respect and honor gives them an edge over their competitors. This increases the loyalty among the customers and reduces the retention cost incurred by the business.
